Who fills this role

This role is for people with a clinical background: physicians, medical graduates and nurses. It is the one role we offer that sits next to the clinical side, and it works from your providers’ orders and protocols. They work in support roles on your team, not as your treating providers.

Entry or Experienced

Entry is clinically trained and newer to US healthcare. They learn your protocols and where your clinicians draw the line on what they tell patients.

Experienced has worked in US healthcare, so they know how the system runs and reach full speed sooner.

What we ask you for

Which standing orders and protocols you use, your EHR, your specialty and patient population, the hours, and who the person escalates to.

Spanish-speaking patients

Many patients speak Spanish. Our candidates speak both English and Spanish, so a care coordinator can follow up with Spanish-speaking patients in their own language, and escalate to your clinicians in English.

Questions

What practices ask about this role.

What may a care coordinator tell a patient?

That is for your protocols and your clinicians to decide. They work your standing orders as your providers set them and escalate a change in a patient’s status to your clinicians.

Who fills this role?

Clinically trained candidates: physicians, medical graduates and nurses.

What do I need to give them?

Your standing orders and protocols, access to your EHR, and the people to escalate to. They learn your care pathways and contact cadence during onboarding.

Do they speak Spanish?

Yes. They speak both English and Spanish, which matters on follow-up calls with patients who speak Spanish. Say so in your request if many of your patients do.
